Although the inaugural game of the Azteca stadium between América and the Italian Torino on May 29, 1966 was a good soccer game –quite anecdotal for lovers of statistics–, many fans ended up disappointed because no Mexican scored.
A week later, on Sunday June 5, 1966 and before another great guest such as the Spanish Valencia, Roberto Loco Martinez shouted at the top of his lungs “It was me! It was me!". He was wearing the Necaxa shirt.
The voice of the stadium celebrated the feat in a big way, despite the fact that the match would be won by the foreign team by 3 to 1, which no longer mattered, because finally a national premiered the goal of the Coloso de Santa Úrsula. Thus, it was demonstrated once again that Mexicans are good for the party, even in defeat.
For his part, El Loco, who had earned his nickname by hand due to his stuck youth, received the trophy product of that annotation at the Orfeon cinema in the capital of the country, during the premiere of the aforementioned film, which made people also knew it as the Caña Brava, becoming from that moment on a unique marketing case.
Unique edition in color and patch identical to the jersey of the Legendary first Mexican goal at the Azteca Stadium.
