Los Gallos del Jalisco, were an icon of soccer in the seventies. They were part of the 4 great Guadalajara teams along with the Leones Negros, Chivas and Atlas.
Some outstanding players who played for the Roosters were Osvaldo Castro "Pata Bendita", Coco Gomez and Harapos Morales and believe it or not, Pele too.
In 1975, when he was already a member of the Cosmos, Edson returned to Mexico to play a couple of games for a home run between the 4 Guadalajara teams.
